This covers what to do when things go horribly wrong at Triple Trouble
Blue Fillers at Crimson
Early blue fillers at crimson can cause an premature burn phase.
Useful spam:
OI NO BLUE MATE! PAS DE BLEU!! NO BLUE!! NON CAERULEUM!! OCHI BLE!! NO BEULLU!! AO NASHI!!
TIDAK ADA BIRU!! KEIN BLAU!! NAO AZUL!! NIENTE BLU!!
If blue fills early, and amber has not started its mechanic yet, call off the zerg first in both /s and /d
NO DPS! DO NOT ATTACK WURM! NO DPS!
If amber is about to start its mechanic for sync, or is very early in the stacking phase of its mechanic, first call off the zerg and then call for a RESYNC in /map chat.
If amber has already called amber in, or is late enough in the stacking phase that it’s expected to any second, try to go through with the burn anyway. but be ready to spam OFF for your zerg if there’s a RESYNC call from elsewhere.
Abom Killers at Amber
The easiest way to deal with abom killers at Amber is to reset the abom when you have just under 30 seconds left of upset stomach, and then call the next one.
Remind people not to kill abom and to put pets away, but if they’re persistent, just use strategically timed resets to get control of the event back.
If the abom reaches 60% while waiting to sync, reset it at 35 seconds to sync.
Early Keg Runners at Cobalt
The important thing here is to make sure the zerg doesn’t follow. A few keg runners are unlikely to complete the mechanic, but you may risk despawns during your sync attempt, so take mental note of how many kegs you are facing and whether your zerg can power through that or not, and call for a resync if necessary to try to get an easier spawn you can power through.
If it’s organized enough to trigger an unwanted burn phase. make sure to call the zerg off, so that you don’t have an early decap.
Valve Decap at Amber
The valve portion of Amber’s mechanic does roughly 1% of the wurm’s health in damage. If you are exactly at 1%, or dangerously close to it when getting eaten, you need to prepare for a valve decap event.
In a valve decap, the wurm dies before it’s able to throw up and spit out the zerg. When this happens, everyone inside will be trapped, and locked in combat by the stomach acid. The only way out is to die first, and then waypoint.
Warn map chat in advance if at all possible, and try to lower the number of people being swallowed to safe minimums, 25-30.
Brief the squad ahead of time if at all possible. Everyone needs to die, waypoint to Whisperwill Waypoint south of Amber, and run back.
NO HEALS!! DIE QUICKLY AND QUIETLY. RUN BACK FROM [&BLABAAA=] NO HEALS!!
Resyncs
RESYNC in map chat from any of the commanders means to abort the sync and negotiate a new time.
Don’t start your mechanic if you haven’t yet. Call OFF immediately in squad and say if the wurm is vulnerable/about to be vulnerable.
Negotiate a new sync time in map chat once you’ve called off the zerg.
Critically Low DPS
If you are not going to be able to reach crit with your current zerg composition, call for help from other commanders early. They will send over anyone they can spare to help you secure the crit, and if necessary, prepare to execute a last second extend to give you that extra 60 seconds on the clock.
If you are commanding another wurm, call for volunteers to move over, as long as you can spare the numbers without endangering your sync mechanic. Commanders can also easily send a wave over immediately after their decap, especially on an extend.
Hellwurms
A hellwurm is a wurm at which there are uncontrolled husk and egg releases, which quickly overwhelm the zerg if not addressed.
The key to dealing with a hellwurm is to shift zerg focus to defense as soon as possible and get the field under control.
Squad Broadcast for Crimson/Cobalt:
CONDI DPS KILL ALL HUSKS AND LARVA / POWER DPS KILL EVERYTHING ELSE
Squad Broadcast for Amber:
CONDI DPS KILL ALL HUSKS AND LARVA / POWER DPS KILL EVERYTHING BUT ABOM
Once you’ve given the initial orders to squad, tell /map chat you have a hellwurm, and begin to assess the situation. Did your blocker die, disconnect, or go AFK for a smoke? Is it just a bad night for lag and desync?
If the blocker is OK, then the situation should stabilize after clearing the field. If you are without a blocker, you’ll have to go back and forth between mechanics and defense. Ask any dedicated Condi DPS to move to subgroup 2 and stay focused on the wurm.
Other commanders on the map should send aid, by pulling off anyone they can spare to assist you, and any excess or spare defense roles on the map should also move to your location.
Butter Wurm
Call OFF and pray.
If you somehow manage to avoid an early decap, carefully miniburn the wurm down to 10-15% in case the butter fixes itself.
Last Second Extends
At 2:30, if you don’t have a sync time, or if problems are happening, make the call in map chat – PREPARE TO EXTEND
If you reach 1:30 second on the timer at Amber, or 1:10 on the timer at Crimson/Cobalt, start your mechanic immediately, without trying to sync. These are the last safe times to begin the mechanic, and the hope is that by completing at least one wurm’s mechanic as close to 0:00 as possible, the timer will roll back to 60 seconds and allow the other wurms just enough time to finish their mechanic.
Repops
If you see that that failing the event is unavoidable, and it’s for any reason other than low numbers/bad zerg, look for confirmation that a repop will happen, and as soon as you’re reasonable sure it will, tell everyone to stay in squad and reassure them that we will be restarting the event.
Usually an experienced commander will be giving this messaging already in map chat, but if not, you can ask – someone will know at any of the organized timeslots.
